Hanging out with my mates

I have been doing lots of group activities this week. We went to memorial park and played basketball. I ventured onto the park and had a great time with my mates.

The Elms Missionary House

We had a outing yesterday to the Elms. There was a big barn and it had lots of tools and things from the old days, I liked looking in there. We also went into the chapel and saw the big hanging church bell. It was a great afternoon out.

The Redwoods

Yesterday we went to Rotorua. We went into the Redwoods forest park. After having morning tea in a nice spot we done one of the many walks there. I kept looking up at the tall tree's and smiling. We walked across a little bridge then had lunch. After a look in the craft shop at the things they made out of the wood we headed back. I had a great time and a great sleep that night!

Tomatoes and silverbeet for dinner!

Today we went to the Merivale Community Garden. After helping to water the tomatoes we found some ripe ones to take back to work, along with some freshly picked silver beet which Mum say's I love!

Rainbow and Fairy Springs

This week we went to Rainbow and Fairy Springs in Rotorua. I really enjoyed the walk and seeing the birds along the way. We watched a really cool bird show, saw a huge dinosaur and a beautiful waterfall.

Tauranga S.P.C.A

Once a week we go to the S.P.C.A to volunteer. We are given a lead and a puppy and we take them for a walk. I used to be a little unsure of the puppies but now I am getting used to them. There are lots of other animals there like Cats, Kittens, Birds and even Rabbits! One of the Parrots can talk. I found this pretty funny and had a chat back...

Pilot Bay

We went over to Pilot Bay this week to enjoy the weather. My friend Tame pretended to cook sausages on the barbecue there, I thought this was really funny!

A busy week for me.....

Well, what a busy week I have had. I had a trip to the port, the racecourse to look at the show jumping horses, Merivale Community Garden to pick some more silver beet to take home, and have been using the different musical instruments we have here at music time. I have been playing sports with my mates, walking the boardwalks around town... And even vacuuming our centre at the end of the day! Looking forward to this weeks adventures.
