Computer fun

Today I had computers so I had a go on the iPad, I had great fun touching the screen with my finger and seeing what happened and all the designs I made!

Garden Mad

Today we had a lovely outing to the Community Garden. I always get excited when I see it from the can and cant wait to get out and see how the plants are doing. Today I found a cool Gardening magazine and was so interested in the book I read it all through my afternoon tea and wouldn't put it down. 

Renovation

I have been very busy in renovation the last few weeks restoring some small chairs. We have painted them some really cool colours and have put some really funky patterns over the paint. 

Seashells

I have been busy making clay seashells to add to a lovely big coil pot we are making in pottery at the moment. We will be attaching the shells onto the side of the pot to make it look really fancy. I am getting really good at working this clay!

Pirates!

Greetings all ye land lubbers! In guys group we have started an exciting new study into the legends of Warriors! We will be studying warriors from different countries and periods of history. This week we focused on Pirates! I helped make pirate hats, swords and cannon balls out of newspaper. Then we sailed on down to some soggy ground and had a game of "capture the flag" where hide e

Our flags at our base and then plunder the other teams area and capture their flag (and any booty we an get our hands on and then see who gets the enemies flag back to base first. We also played "cannon ball attack"  where we fired our cannon balls at each other. I had so much fun!

Getting my hands dirty.

I have been enjoying my pottery sessions and have been enjoying touching the clay, moulding the creations and now painting the finished product. Here I am painting some fish I have made. 

Planes planes planes!

I have been getting really hand-on around the centre lately, in guys group we are studying planes, we went to the Greerton Hobby shop and checked out all the cool model planes. We then went tothe variety   store and brought some cool small polystyrene planes that we put together and flew in the sensory room. I have been working hard in pottery too making coil pots and painting small aeroplanes. I have been so busy!
